Kendra Malegaon

 

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Malegaon is a district level Farm Science Centre established on June 2011 under the affiliation of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi at Richfield Agricultural e-research Development Centre Nashik District Nashik. The operational area of this Krishi Vigyan Kendra is up to the 7 tehsils of Nashik district namely Satana, Malegaon, Kalwan, Deola Yeola Nandgaon & Surgana. The aim of Krishi Vigyan Kendra is to reduce the time lag between generation of technology at the research institutions and it's transfer to the farmer's field for increasing production, productivity and income from the agriculture and allied sectors on a sustained basis. In order to achieve this goal, four mandates have been envisaged in the design of the Krishi Vigyan Kendra.

KVK operates as an agency that organizes various crop production technical training programs, crop demonstrations, and on farm trials. KVK also arranges training courses for the rural youth which benefits their chances of employability and extends its expert services to farmers in its dominion in the form of advance agriculture technologies.
